29 April 2026, UK – Available now to managed service customers, AskCooperSoftware.ai is a personalised AI assistant that answers real questions about how industrial businesses use IFS
Cooper Software today launches AskCooperSoftware.ai, the first AI assistant purpose-built for IFS enterprise resource planning (ERP) users. Unveiled at IFS Connect UK where the company is exhibiting as a Silver Sponsor, it is unlike a generic AI tool that collates publicly available IFS documentation. AskCooperSoftware is personalised to each customer’s specific environment - their processes, customisations, approval workflows and supply chain setup - and has been quietly in use within Cooper Software’s own operations for over 12 months.
Designed to address the challenge of fragmented knowledge that lives in release notes, old tickets, configuration documents and precariously in the heads of go-to employees, it will help IFS customers avoid creating support calls from basic questions.
Frank Cooper, CEO of Cooper Software, puts it plainly: “Anybody using IFS should be able to ask a question and get an answer that reflects how their business actually works, not a generic response pulled from a manual. We’ve been building and testing AskCooperSoftware for over a year across our managed service IFS customers. We haven’t seen anybody else in the IFS ecosystem doing this yet, and for any IFS customer spending time raising support tickets for questions their system should already be able to answer, we think the case is straightforward.”
AskCooperSoftware serves two types of users. Day-to-day, it gives anyone in the business a reliable way to get things done inside IFS, with answers specific to how their organisation is configured, not lifted from public documentation. For the people driving change such as IT managers, power users, and finance leads, it becomes a discovery tool used to explore what’s possible, then arrive at a conversation with Cooper’s consultants with a clear brief already formed. That changes the economics of continuous improvement work significantly.
Available immediately, it is bundled into Cooper Software’s existing managed service and involves a short personalisation process to ground the assistant in their specific IFS setup. For IFS customers not yet working with Cooper, AskCooperSoftware is designed as an accessible entry point. It is light in commitment, and quick to deliver value. The product covers IFS Cloud ERP and is open to customers on all versions of IFS, including those still on earlier releases who are planning or considering a move to cloud.
AskCooperSoftware is the latest addition to Cooper Software’s portfolio of proprietary products - alongside ACQUIRE, TRAX, PULSE, STICKIES, LOOKUP and MTD - and represents the start of a broader platform the company intends to build out over time. Cooper Software was founded in 2005 and has supported IFS customers across manufacturing, energy, utilities, construction, food and beverage, and service industries for over two decades.
