Scot JCB Choose Cooper Software to Implement Their New ERP Solution

Scot JCB Choose Cooper Software to Implement Their New ERP Solution">

Scottish plant and machinery specialist, Scot JCB, has selected Cooper Software to implement a new company-wide ERP solution to enhance visibility and streamline all operational functions across the business. For Cooper Software, the project win is one of the largest for a UK-based IFS partner.

IFS Applications™ 10 will replace Scot JCB’s legacy ERP system (FMS), which has been in place for the past 15+ years, along with several disparate SAAS solutions, each serving a different area of the business.

Transitioning to an out-of-the box IFS Applications 10 solution along with a range of associated IFS modules, including IFS Reporter and IFS Business Extension, will create a fully integrated solution with the overall goal of improving efficiency and increase visibility across the entire business.

Family-owned Scot JCB is one of the leading JCB dealers and distributers in the UK, with over 50-years of experience in supplying and servicing machinery, the business is headquartered in Glasgow and operates from a network of 17 depots across Scotland and the North of England.

Due to the scale of the project, it will be delivered in two phases. The first, will focus on replacing FMS in its entirety with IFS, dealing with financial accounting and reporting, purchase ledger, Sales, Service and HR, whilst developing new interfaces for seamless interaction. Phase two will focus on replacing the company’s existing field service solution, used by around 150 engineers, with the IFS mobile Field Service solution.

“Cooper Software have designed a comprehensive solution that will allow us to consolidate all business processes and data in a single, flexible system” said Scott Spowage, Group IT Manager at Scot JCB. “We are looking forward to working with them to create a solution tailored to the specific needs of our business that will provide much needed integration and allow us to easily access vital operational information to enhance our business decisions.”

Frank Cooper, Executive Chairman of Cooper Software adds “We are thrilled to be working with Scot JCB and to play a part in developing their new IFS solution. We know the capabilities of the solution and coupled with our own experience and specialist technical knowledge, we are excited to be implementing a best-in-class solution that will truly streamline and transform all business functions.”

Alan Laing, Managing Director, IFS UK and Ireland said, “We are very excited to welcome Scot JCB to the IFS fold. As a long-standing, trusted IFS partner, Cooper Software is in an excellent position to deliver real business value to Scot JCB and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial collaboration.”
