Support our charity partner, the Homeless World Cup Foundation and #TakeYourSeat in their Virtual Stadium on Homeless World Cup Day on 5th July">

The 5th July is Homeless World Cup Day, a virtual celebration of the work of the Homeless World Cup Foundation and its partners, which has been organised in response to the cancellation of the 2020 Homeless World Cup in Tampere, Finland, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cooper Software have proudly supported The Homeless World Cup for more than 3 years, both as their official Technology Partner and by nominating them as our preferred charity. Along with everyone else involved, we were deeply disappointed when this year’s tournament had to be cancelled. To try to continue doing what we can to help the charity and their partners continue their life-changing work, we have donated all of the budget we had set aside to support our involvement.

The event may not be going ahead this year but we are still getting involved and hope you will too. The first ever Homeless World Cup Day event will open a Virtual Stadium where fans can get together to celebrate the Foundation’s work, as well as that of their Street Football Partners, as it continues with its mission to combat homelessness through football.

Taking place on what would have originally been the finals day of the tournament, Homeless World Cup Day will showcase player stories as well as provide engaging talks and fun challenges for wiling participants from all over the world. A selection of classic games aired from previous Homeless World Cups will also feature, alongside punditry from current and former professional footballers. It’s a day full of fun and engaging content alongside the chance to help the Foundation continue their life-changing work across the globe.

Host for the day is TV presenter David Tanner, one of the UK’s most accomplished broadcasters, who will be joined by a star-studded panel of football legends including Michail Antonio, Nuno Gomes, Steffen Freund, Karen Carney, John Collins, Terry Angus, and Jason Lee who will give their insights into some of the games that were played in Homeless World Cup tournaments in Mexico City, Glasgow, and Cardiff over the last four years.

#TakeYourSeat in the Virtual Stadium and relive some of the great sporting moments that make the Homeless World Cup so special.  Grab your seat here (it’s free!) and let’s all #KeepTheBallRolling
