How to easily and quickly extract data from IFS Payroll to create a PAPDIS file

We are always looking to be challenged and love nothing more than combining both our development expertise and extensive IFS knowledge to create neat solutions that solve somewhat tricky problems for our customers.

When one of our IFS customers changed their company pension provider earlier this year, the new provider stipulated that all data coming from the client’s payroll to the pension scheme must be generated into a standardised file format using the Pensions and Payroll Data Interface Standard (PAPDIS) and then uploaded in to their portal for submission.

Making Tax Digital: Customer Reviews

In our series of articles on Making Tax Digital (MTD) we have examined all of the recent legislative updates from HMRC. Now don’t get us wrong, regulatory compliance is always a vital requirement for any business but equally important to us at Cooper Software is giving our customers software that works for and with them to achieve this compliance.

Achieving this is easier said than done but for us this process always begins with talking. Good communication is key to the successful delivery of any project and we run regular product and project reviews with all of our customers to get feedback on the whole process – from choosing the system, through to the readiness assessment, implementation and support.

So rather than listen to us, here is what some of our customers are saying about our MTD solution.

IFS Delivers Greater Flexibility for Scot JCB

Project Background

As is typical of many companies, Scot JCB rely on several disparate solutions, each suited to a specialist application/subsidiary area. The 5th July is Homeless World Cup Day, a virtual celebration of the work of the Homeless World Cup Foundation and its partners, which has been organised in response to the cancellation of the 2020 Homeless World Cup in Tampere, Finland, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cooper Software have proudly supported The Homeless World Cup for more than 3 years, both as their official Technology Partner and by nominating them as our preferred charity. Along with everyone else involved, we were deeply disappointed when this year’s tournament had to be cancelled. To try to continue doing what we can to help the charity and their partners continue their life-changing work, we have donated all of the budget we had set aside to support our involvement.

Rishi says ‘Relax’: Further updates to MTD Legislation

Last time out we covered HMRC’s announcement to extend the soft landing for MTD to April 2021 and the legislative change was confirmed in the VAT notice published last month. Along with this extension, a number of other ‘relaxations’ to the existing requirements were added that cover many standard business processes.

Now, it is probably fair to say that reading legislative government updates is something of an acquired taste and here at Cooper Software we take on the burden to save you from that particular fate, please find below a summary of the changes:
