Project Background

As a company, Farrow & Ball was looking to improve its export capabilities through improving its warehouse pick
and pack and international export process. A new solution was required to improve the accuracy of shipments and minimise shipping costs. Furthermore, it was fundamental to reduce the double handling of products in the dispatch process and allow for complete visibility of the picking process.

Our Solution

ACQUIRE™ is the UK’s most popular barcoding mobile data and RF system designed specifically for ERP users.
An off the shelf end-to-end product, it can be integrated to any ERP picking process within the Automated Supply Chain, allowing for complete visibility.

Cooper Software worked closely with Farrow & Ball to understand their business. This has led to not just an
improvement in their shipping process but has also pushed the boundaries of Cooper Software’s ACQUIRE™
software. The project was implemented in two phases on their IFS system. Phase One immediately brought benefits as the new software seamlessly integrated with their IFS system allowing them complete visibility of the pick and pack process and increased the speed and accuracy of shipments for domestic pick and pack via several carriers.

In Phase Two, the enhanced ACQUIRE™ solution was able to deliver similar improvements in speed and accuracy, whilst creating an interface for their international export facility and with the multiple globally recognised carriers they work with. In this phase, the ACQUIRE™ software solution was able to deliver similar improvements in speed and accuracy, whilst creating an interface for their international export facility and with the multiple globally recognised carriers they work with, automating whole selections and packaging of products.
